PERSONAL EVALUATION

Personal evaluation, everybody's gotta listen to what I say
And I got quite a lot to say about me and here's my chance today
Don't you know I haven't been the same, I feel I'm always about to quit
There ain't nothin' to look too forward to and I'm gettin' so sick of it.

Life goes on and on and on and on but nothin' will come to me
Although I think I'm entitled, everybody is on a shopping spree
Just the other day I saw a lady with a list that she had wrote
And she came to me like I was wearing her little boy's winter coat

Personal evaluation, everybody's gotta listen to what I rap
And I got quite a lot to rap about me and here's my chance to slap you
Personal evaluation, everybody's gotta listen to what I speak
And I got quite a lot to speak about me and here's my chance to seek.

I was so cold, but I never knew I didn't have enough clothes on
Til someone else came up and told me to get off their front lawn
Personal evaluation, anybody wanna tell me what I do, do, do, do, do, do
D-don't, d-don't, d-don't, don't forget I'm not you.

But still I wanna be glad, so glad like back when I was young
I used to laugh and cry and be a happy boy, never stuck out my tongue
And now that's all I do when I'm depressed, when my pessimisms rise
I just give a dirty look and everybody just look into my eyes.

Personal evaluation
It's a personal evaluation
It's a personal evaluation
It's, it's, it's a personal evaluation.

Well I'm mad, y'all... so sad, y'all... cause I only wanna sing
But I can't sing like they want me to, so I never again may bring
You tapes and records and album cover art, it looks like I am through
Cause I done it all and now I got nothin' but a 24 hour flu.

Hey pal, hey friend, friend, is this the end, do we have to be so uptight?
What happened to the days when we were young and everything was right?
Did I lose it, lose it, did I ever have it, do I get it back?
Or do I just have the memories and no real concrete facts?

Personal evaluation

Should I call out your name, or do you know who I'm rappin' to?
Well, I'mma rappin' to me, don't you see there's nothing to say to you
Let's party, let's party - that's all I ever hear
Let's all get together in a little room and drink a case of beer.

Well, I'm all alone, unplug the phone so I can now record
While millions of others find their thing in Bruce and in The Lord
Well, I'm who's known as Dee Dee Moe and I'm nobody just like you
And you better remember me when I die, cause you'll be dying too.

Personal evaluation

Consumer society permeates the world and it's everybody's fault
I wish so much that everything would just come to a halt
What's gonna happen, can it get much worse, that's more than I have seen
I don't wanna live in a world of superstars in designer jeans.

John Lennon, John Lennon, is it better where you are right now?
Well, I'm taking care of Yoko and she been wonderin' how
We can get to you, we wanna get to you, cause we don't like it here
We're stuck with the world in a little room and a case of empty beer bottles.

Give me back my freedom of choice, lemme give you back yours
Everybody's doing what everybody else is doing, I'm not sure
About the world, about the girls and boys who've lost their goals
And I've lost mine, but I don't necessarily wanna do what I'm told.

Do this, do this, don't do this, don't do that, be like me
I recall seeing this kind of thinking way back when I was 3
Nobody knows how much clothes to wear and how they should look
And no one has any idea of truth, quoting a book.

It's difficult to do a rap record, at least it's hard for me
I recall hearing this kind of record way back when I was 23
1980, 1980 - what a boring year
I'm all alone in a little room without a need for beer.

Cause I got my pot and I like it a lot, but I'm down to very little
Somebody help me find a score so I can play my fiddle
I just might try to commit suicide if I don't finish this song
But with my luck I'll see the end of having too much clothes on.

Up and down, back and forth, ol' Stevie can't be the same
But I shouldn't have let you hear what you think may be my real name
Nothing is real, nothing is real, nothing is wrong or right
Yet I'm just glad you came to my pad to hear my tune tonight.

Thanks for giving me the chance to bring back what was fun
It might not be what you expect, but this is what I've done
Hot lady, hot man, why don't you just remove your coat?
And throw away your list, we'll think of things that were never wrote.

I feel so much better now, it must be the booze
Maybe I'll become an alcoholic, nothing else to lose
I can barely keep writing words to go with each downbeat
While everybody else is only concerned with their two feet.

Personal evaluation has helped me to find a good mood
It's here now at 8 o'clock, I wish I had some food
Hey! Let's go to White Castle and order 20 cheeseburgers
Ketchup? Naw, I can't catch up with this fuckin' tempo!

I'm gonna quit trying to prove I can evaluate myself, personally.
The greatest
Thank you.
